Harrisons X 3 ~ July 2015

Giving God Glory
God's miracle of healing a friend of cancer!!! ~
O LORD my God, I cried to You for help, and You healed me.  Psalm 30:2
A friend of ours, Amy Saunders (who we served with in T&T a couple years ago but now lives in California), shared the following on Facebook:

June 27th ~ Dear Facebook friends and family. As I have mentioned in my previous post we have been waiting on test results to see if I have cancer. Unfortunately we now have enough info to tell you it is cancer. The doctors believe it to be lymphoma but a biopsy is needed to confirm that. The cancer has been found in my chest, breast and armpit. Please pray for my family. We know God has a plan and we pray for His faithfulness.

We joined so many people who were praying for Amy and asking the Lord to do the miraculous and heal her body of cancer.  The doctors did not think she had long to live.  What a joy it was to celebrate with her and praise the Lord when we saw the wonderful news a friend shared only a little over a month later:

August 5th ~ Thank you to all of my friends and family that were praying for my friend, Amy. We have received the most wonderfully blessed news, she has no signs of cancer. The good Lord has again prevailed with this awesome miracle given to us through the power of prayer!!! Praise God!!

What's on the Harrisons' Hearts & Memorable Moment of the Month
Harrisons X 3 ~ We were SUPER excited to have 2 Harrison families (parents & brother/sis-in-law's family from Wisconsin) join our family for a week = 3 Harrison families! :)  With Samuel only being 4 months old, nursing every few hours, and still getting up in the middle of the night at times, I was curious how available I would be to be hospitable.  The Lord was gracious and gave me strength and opportunities to serve our family in a variety of ways.  We all had a wonderful time together and made a lot of fun memories!

Praises & Prayers
Friend - Praise for God healing our friend, Amy Saunders, of cancer!
Tami - Continued prayers for the Lord to give my dad and other loved ones His perspective and that God would heal Tami, but ultimately that His will would be done.  Prayer of Galatians 5:22-23 that the fruit of the Spirit would abound in Dad's & Tami's lives during this trial.  Also, prayer of James 1:5 for wisdom with this trial.

Wes - Praise for the Lord growing Wes in seeing & taking ways out in tempting situations and for losing desire for specific temptations.  Please pray for the Lord to continue to show Wes grace and mercy in tempting situations (1 Corinthians 10:13).
Christina - Praise for the Lord giving me grace, strength, and opportunities to be hospitable and a blessing to family while they were visiting.  Please pray for me to love the Lord more than selfish desires that He reveals to me (Matthew 22:37).
Noah - God would graciously save him at a young age and lead him to walk with the Lord all of his days, if that be the Lord's will.  Continued praise for the Lord growing Noah in loving his brothers, especially Josiah since Noah will sometimes provoke him.  I asked Noah what he would like loved ones to pray for him - "That I would grow in my love for the Bible."
Josiah - God would graciously save him at a young age and lead him to walk with the Lord all of his days, if that be the Lord's will.  Praise for the Lord helping Josiah to communicate more often with his words rather than screaming when he doesn't like something; also, praise for Josiah mastering even more potty skills involving #2.  Please continue to pray for the Lord to grow Josiah in using his words to communicate (Psalm 19:14).
Samuel - God would graciously save him at a young age and lead him to walk with the Lord all of his days, if that be the Lord's will.  Praise that Samuel's bout of cold/congestion that he had this month is over!  [Back in June since I am blogging after-the-fact, and Samuel has figured out both now. :) ] ~ We were praying for Samuel to figure out how to roll over from his back to stomach or to be able to sleep on his back, since he kept rolling over onto his back and "getting stuck" on his back in his crib, which kept him stimulated and made it challenging for him to go to sleep (plus he needed us to keep flipping him back over).

Noah News
Age - 6 years old

Cute Communication
*Wes - "Noah, do you want to go to Wal-mart with me?"
Noah - (Normally, he would quickly agree to go, but this time he began contemplating if it is worth it) "What are we going to do?" ;)

*We were discussing how our friends were going to be moving to California, and Noah asks, "How will they have food to eat and a place to sleep if they sold their house in Colorado?"  It's cute to see him processing how different aspects of life works.

*Noah and I were discussing the meaning of the word "stash."  Noah states, "Michelangelo has a stash of Orange Crush."  Noah likes Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and must have been paying attention to details when watching the movie. ;)

Wes - "Up ahead of us."
Josiah - "I love him so much!" :)

*One morning when I was getting Josiah dressed, he started patting my back and asked, "You have burp, Mommy?" ;)

*Wes was discussing with our boys all the fun we were going to have with family when they came to visit from Wisconsin, and he states, "Grandpa Harrison's coming, and he's going to get you, Josiah!"
Josiah - "No way, Jose!" ;)
Wes - "What do you want me to tell him?"
Josiah - "Get away from my Beezie!" ~ Josiah's nickname is Jobeezie. ;)
